I’ve grown homeschoolers’ social studies skills for three years, teaching about times and places. A student I taught marked old jobs after we read about them, showing his mom later. My lessons use short reads and marks to teach over time. Parents say their kids stay into it. I fit my teaching to what grabs them, building their know-how slow and steady.
